Somebody stole an ATM from Sun Peaks

Kamloops Mounties are looking for answers after an ATM was stolen from the Day Lodge at Sun Peaks Monday night (Sept. 24).

The machine was located Tuesday morning at the junction of Agate Bay Road and Adams Lake Forest Service Road, but it had been broken into and the cash inside removed, according to a press release.

The break-in occurred around 3 a.m. The glass door to the lodge was smashed open and, according to police, it appears that the ATM was ripped out of the lodge by a rope attached to a vehicle. The suspect may have been driving a black Ford F350 pickup truck with silver trim and a lift kit.

If you have any information about this theft, contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000. If you wish to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
