Kamloops Symphony Orchestra moving March concerts to Oasis Church

The show will go on for the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra (KSO).

The organization announced on Friday (Feb. 22) that next month's concerts will take place at the Oasis Church following the temporary closure of Sagebrush Theatre.

Formerly known as the Calvary Community Church, the venue is located at 1205 Rogers Way and will host concerts on March 8 and 9.

"The thing that (this venue) has that's so important for us is adequate size, for the orchestra and the audience," says Kathy Humphreys, KSO's executive director. "I'm so happy it was available for us; the staff there are very supportive. It's really been a huge relief."

As for the concerts in April and May, Humphreys tells KamloopsMatters the KSO will use Oasis Church if need be.

"We will let our ticket holders know what will happen; we'll make sure they know where they're going, where to park. We will be in touch."

She adds ticket sales for all concerts have resumed and can be purchased from Kamloops Live! Box Office at 250-374-5483 or online.
