For the second time this month the Ashcroft Hospital emergency department will be closed; not offering service on either Saturday (May 18) or Sunday (May 19) night of the upcoming weekend.
According to a release from Interior Health, the emergency department will be closed from 8 p.m. May 18 to 8 a.m. May 19. It will close again at 8 p.m. on May 19 and reopen the following weekend (May 24) at its regular hours.
Ashcroft emergency department services normally operate on weekends only, open from Friday at 6 p.m. to Monday at 8 a.m.
"Interior Health regrets this temporary closure and reminds residents to take note of the following if they require care while the emergency department is closed," states the release.
If you require emergency service call 9-1-1.
If the matter is less urgent, visit the emergency departments at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops, Lillooet Hospital or Nicola Valley Hospital in Merritt.
