Construction at Kenna Cartwright Park means main entrance limited; alternates encouraged

Interested in heading to Kenna Cartwright Park?

Be forewarned, construction will be taking place.

Don’t panic though, it will only be happening along the access road leading to the main entrance, from July 16 to 31, as it gets paved.

“The work will help curb the amount of dust blowing into neighbouring homes,” says the city of Kamloops website.

Residents are advised to use other entrances such as near the Home Depot (on Hillside Drive) and Bunker Road entrances.

This may provide a chance to do some shopping before heading to the park, if you’re missing a home appliance that you never knew you needed. It also gives regulars a reason to check out a different entrance (if you’re looking for a silver lining).

Pedestrians and cyclists are encouraged to follow the regular road signs.
