Anglemont pair identified, deaths not suspicious

The BC RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit say no suspects are being sought after a "tragic incident" resulted in the death of two people in Anglemont last week.

On Nov. 5 around 3:40 p.m., Chase RCMP responded to a residence located in the 2200-block of Fraser Road after a man and woman were discovered dead inside the home.

The BC Coroners Service has also positively identified the two deceased, a 62-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman. While their names are not being released, "the pair were known to each other."

I can confirm that RCMP continue to believe that this tragic incident was an isolated event. No suspects are being sought at this time, nor is there any danger to the public, says Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey, spokesperson for the BC RCMP Southeast District, in a news release.

No further information will be released by the RCMP and the BC Coroners Service.
