VIDEO: Here are the 26 movies of the 24th Kamloops Film Festival

The 24th annual Kamloops Film Festival has announced their loaded lineup, revealing the 26 flicks that will screen across their nine-day event next month.

Running from March 5 to 14, the Paramount Theatre will be showing everything from award-winning dramas, to bizarre comedies, to documentaries featuring crazy stories from across the province.

The Kamloops Independent Short Short (KISS) Film Fest will also be a part of the event, running on Sunday, March 8. The deadline to submit your films is Feb. 29.

Haida Modern

March 5, 7 p.m.

A documentary on the art and activism of Robert Davidson.

Call Me Crazy: The Legend of Mike Wiegele

March 6, 6 p.m.

A short documentary about the ski-obsessed Austrian who came to Blue River and launched heli-skiing in B.C.

Six Days in December

March 6, 7 p.m.

A non-narrative documentary that presents a striking portrait of the city of Kamloops, for six days in December of 2019. Will be shown in as a double feature with Call Me Crazy: The Legend of Mike Wiegele.

In Fabric

March 6, 9 p.m. 

A ghost story that follows the life of a cursed dress as it passes from person to person, with devastating consequences. The first film of the DarkFest lineup.

Frozen II Sing-Along 

March 7,11 a.m.

The classic kid's film, but now with more singing. 

Only in Nelson

March 7, 1 p.m.

A documentary about the municipal election in the Northern B.C. city. 

Let It Be (1970)

March 7, 4 p.m.

A documentary about the Beatles' attempt to recapture their old group spirit by making a back to basics album, which instead drove them further apart. The film will be a free event in partnership with Thompson Rivers University.

nîpawistamâsowin: We Will Stand Up

March 7, 5:30 p.m.

A documentary telling the story of the killing of Colten Boushie and his family's pursuit of justice.

Honeyboy

March 7, 7:30 p.m.

A drama based on Shia LaBeouf's upbringing, as he struggles to reconcile with his father and deal with his mental health.

Rabid 

March 7, 9:30 p.m.

The horror film that follows a woman that gets experimental stem cell treatment, leaving her stronger and prettier than ever - but there's a side effect. The second film of the DarkFest lineup.

Greener Grass

March 8, 3 p.m.

Based on a short film of the same name, the bizarre comedy follows suburban soccer moms constantly competing against each other in their personal lives as their kids settle their differences on the field.

Portrait of a Lady on Fire

March 8, 6 p.m.

A woman tries to encourage a pregnant domestic abuse victim to seek help.

Old Boys

March 9, 6 p.m.

An awkward but imaginative pupil helps the handsome but spectacularly dim school-hero pursue the fiery daughter of a visiting French teacher.
