BC Transit eliminating non-emergency medical appointment runs between Logan Lake, Kamloops

Low ridership is forcing BC Transit to cut its Health Connections runs between Logan Lake and Kamloops.

Health Connections is a service that provides accessible transportation options to non-emergency medical appointments. Although medical appointments have priority, everyone is eligible to use the service if space is available.

The discontinued routes ran on Mondays and Wednesdays.

"It's important to stress that the citizens of Logan Lake will continue to benefit from Health Connections routes that connect them to health-care services, with two weekly trips to Merritt, one of which offers a connection to Kamloops and the other to Kelowna," reads a news release from BC Transit.

The changes take effect on May 4.
