The road has been cleared, according to a tweet from DriveBC.

DriveBC says the road should reopen by 10 p.m. tonight.

The highway remains closed at this hour.
According to AIM Roads, the maintenance company responsible for the South Okanagan and Okanagan-Shuswap, there's no estimated time of reopening.
The next update is expected at 9:30 p.m.
Drivers are asked to detour via Salmon Arm, Enderby, Armstrong and Vernon.

Emergency crews are on Highway 97 at Duck Range Road — some five kilometres east of Monte Creek — for an accident.
An individual at the scene tells Castanet the crash involves a car and a motorcycle, and that the highway is closed in both directions.
