Hiker captures beautiful footage of Greenstone Mountain with drone

Soaring over Greenstone

Wow! Watch this incredible drone video of Greenstone Mountain.

The breathtaking eagle's eye view was uploaded to YouTube by a local hiker.

According to B.C. Parks, Greenstone's surrounding provincial park area has high elevation grasslands and they are in exceptional condition.

At the top of the mountain, and summit of hiking trail, stands a communications tower and no-longer-used forestry lookout. In 1998, a wildfire burned much of the northeast slope of the mountain.

B.C. Parks also notes that at 1,793 meters, it is one of the highest elevations which you can find Vasey’s big sagebrush, Bluebunch wheatgrass and various forbs are bordered by a mix of lodgepole pine, Douglas-fir, aspen and spruce.

Don't be surprised if you see the two people at the top of the mountain swatting the air, the YouTuber notes that there were some thirsty mosquitos.

What a beautiful place to hike or bike ride.
