
A 39-year-old man in Kamloops is dead after he was stabbed Saturday morning.
At approximately 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 1, police were called to a home on Clarke Street. It was there where they found the victim, who had been stabbed. He was transported to Royal Inland Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries.
Just a few hours later, a 37-year-old man was arrested relating to the incident.
"There is currently very little information that can be provided to the public at this time; however, based on our current understanding of this incident there is no danger to the public," says Staff Sgt. Simon Pillay, Kamloops RCMP plain clothes commander, in a news release. "The alleged suspect and victim are known to each other."
The Kamloops RCMP Serious Crime Unit has taken the lead on this case and are in the early stages of the investigation.
