Kamloops North Shore craft fair returing for second edition

North Shore craft fair returns

If you missed the first, don't worry; there's going to be a second.

The North Shore Business Improvement Association (NSBIA) is hosting a second craft fair on Thursday, Aug. 20

The idea for the first craft fair came as a result of the pandemic. The NSBIA had to postpone plans for bigger events like the classic Overlanders Day and the brand new Tapestry Festival, so they hosted a market and craft fair late last month.

Like the first, the second market will boast baked goods, produce, clothing and art.

"The community and the artists were happy we held the first one," says the NSBIA's Patti Phillips. "It went really well. Everyone was really happy and asking when the next one was."

This time there will be 27 vendors, ranging from farm fresh food to handmade quilt-makers to all-natural body care booths.

"You can't have community without business and you can't have business without community," Phillips continues. "Having this and bringing more people to the North Shore will hopefully keep them in the area to support other local business. We hope people who come out to the market will have dinner in the area afterwards."

The fair runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m at 115 Tranquille Rd. on Aug. 20, in the parking lot in front of Wilson House where the NSBIA operates from.

Please be aware, most of the vendors will only be able to take cash, some will have debit and credit.
