Christmas Amalgamated has received another boost from the community.
On Monday (Dec. 21), Kamloops Ford dropped off a van load of toys, as well as a $7,000 cheque.
It was all part of the company's #FillAFord toy drive, where customers, staff and people in the community donated toys for local kids and families.
"Kamloops Ford supports this initiative every November and December as it directly supports children and families at Christmas time in Kamloops by providing food hampers and toys/gifts for the community," the company writes in an email to Castanet.
Christmas Amalgamated was the recipient of another recent community fundraiser. Cassie McNutt, 14, also hosted a toy drive. The event proved to be so successful that she pivoted her campaign to include turkeys and all the fixings.
The local teen's final tally was four truckloads of toys, 10 turkeys, more than 100 pounds of food and $1,050 in cash.
