Kamloops pub reports case of COVID-19

Pub employee tests positive

An employee at McCracken Station Pub has tested positive for COVID-19, staff have announced on social media.

In a Facebook post, the pub says the employee was last at the 1626 Valleyview Dr. establishment on Saturday, Dec. 19. The individual was tested on Dec. 22 and received a positive result on Dec. 23.

"The employee is self-isolating," the statement reads.

The pub says they voluntarily closed their doors Wednesday to thoroughly disinfect the restaurant.

"The health and safety of our employees and our community is our top priority and are committed to following all health and safety guidelines and working with B.C. Interior Health. We thank you for your support and understanding as we work through this process."

McCracken is open today (Dec. 24) from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
