Kamloops Mounties are hoping tips from the public will help them track down a suspect in an identity theft investigation.
RCMP Const. Crystal Evelyn said the investigation began in late July when a bank contacted police to report a suspicious person attempting to impersonate someone whose identity had been stolen.
“So far, police have been unable to identify the woman,” Evelyn said in a news release.
“We are turning to the public to see if anyone else is able to provide more information to help further this investigation.”
The suspect is described as a white woman with shoulder-length brown hair. She was wearing shorts, a pink top and a black blazer, and was carrying a dark purse.
Anyone with information can call police at 250-828-3000.
