Police are investigating a suspected arson after a home caught fire in Westsyde on Tuesday morning.
Kamloops Fire Rescue fire investigator Ray Webster said crews were called out at 5:44 a.m. to 840 Anderson Terr. for a report of a house fire, responding with three fire trucks and a dozen firefighters.
Webster said there were three people in the home and everyone escaped without injury.
He confirmed the fire is a suspected arson, describing the damage to the house from the flames as “minimal,” but could not specify the exact cause and what burned as the file is now is now a police investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
