Sun, clouds and slightly above average temperatures this week

Sun, warm temps this week

The coming week will bring a mix of sun and clouds for Kamloops, with temperatures hitting highs that are slightly above average for this time of year, according to Environment Canada.

Meteorologist Eric Mak said a weather system which brought some rain to Kamloops passed over on Sunday, and sunnier conditions are expected for the beginning of the week.

Mak said there will be a high of 14 to 16 C on Monday and Tuesday.

“By mid-week, Wednesday onward, more clouds will roll in — but, for now, we aren’t expecting any precipitation until Saturday,” Mak said.

Wednesday also will see a 16 C high, and temperatures are expected to reach 15 C on Thursday and Friday.

Mak said the temperatures are slightly warmer than average for mid-October in the Tournament Capital.

“The average is 13 degrees at this time of the year, and you’re looking at about 15, 16 degrees for the high this week,” he said.
