ORIGINAL STORY: 2:06 p.m.

New information in Shannon White’s disappearance has led police and Kamloops Search and Rescue to focus their search in an area west of the city.

On Friday Kamloops RCMP and KSAR announced they would be working together in an investigation into White’s disappearance.

White is believed to have left her home in Lower Sahali around 8 a.m. on Nov. 1.

She never arrived for her shift at Kamloops Hyundai. The next day her jeep was found parked on Nicola Street near 3rd Avenue.

Police said they received information confirming White’s jeep left town for 45 minutes on Nov. 1, shortly after White was supposed to arrive at work.

RCMP said her jeep was seen going west on the Trans Canada Highway, leading officers to the area being searched.

“With this new information, the Kamloops RCMP are seeking any witnesses who may have observed Shannon’s Jeep west of Kamloops on Nov. 1, to please contact police,” said Corp. Dave Marshall, from the Kamloops RCMP Serious Crime Unit.

“We currently have a large Search and Rescue contingent searching for Shannon and we will continue to provide updates regarding the search and any additional assistance we may require from the public.”

A police presence in the Silver Sage trailer park is also related to the investigation, said RCMP.

Anyone with information relating to Shannon White’s disappearance is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
