Mounties are hoping witnesses come forward with more information after an incident on the North Shore over the weekend in which a man is alleged to have threatened customers at a business.
Police were called to a business in the 800-block of Tranquille Road at about 1:45 p.m. on Sunday for a report of a man with a weapon threatening customers.
“Police attended the area, located and arrested a man who matched the description provided, but were unable to find the alleged victims or witnesses,” RCMP Const. Crystal Evelyn said in a news release.
A knife were seized, Evelyn said, and the man was held in custody until sober.
The investigation is ongoing.
