Missing man sought by cops

UPDATE: On Nov. 24, police said Johns had been located and was safe.

Police are hoping tips from the public will help them find a man not seen since Remembrance Day.

Albert Johns was reported missing on Nov. 14, three days after he failed to return to his home.

“Police believe he may be in Kelowna, but have been unable to make contact and verify his well-being,” RCMP Const. Crystal Evelyn said in a news release.

Johns, 40, is a First Nations man standing five-foot-nine and weighing 166 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, and typically wears glasses.

Anyone with information about Johns’ whereabouts can call police at 250-828-3000.
