43 thefts from cars reported in first two weeks of November, RCMP say

43 thefts over two weeks

There have been 43 reported thefts from cars with Kamloops city limits during the first two weeks of November, according to statistics from police.

The Kamloops RCMP said were 19 total thefts from motor vehicles from Nov. 1 to Nov. 7, while the week of Nov. 8 to Nov. 14 saw 24 such thefts.

In these two weeks, 15 thefts from vehicles were reported in North Kamloops. Ten such thefts happened while cars were parked on the North Shore, while five thefts happened in the Brocklehurst area.

In total, 11 thefts were reported from the downtown area, including two on Seymour Street, two on Sixth Avenue and two along Third Avenue.

There were four thefts reported from vehicles parked in the Valleyview area.

Three thefts happened while vehicles were parked in the West End, and another three were reported from Sahali.

One theft happened while a car was in Sun Rivers.
