Tk'emlups looking for submissions for grocery store name and logo

Grocery store needs a name

The T’kemlups independent grocery store is asking the community for help coming up with a name and logo for the new business.

This week the band announced a contest to find a name and logo.

On Facebook the band posted looking for help developing a “creative and culturally relevant store name and logo.”

Entries will be accepted until Feb. 18, by email at [email protected], or by mail addressed to 345-332 Chief Alex Thomas Way.

Accourding to the band, three prizes will be given out, including the grand prize of $1000.

The band said submissions should be professional, on theme and be original.

The winning design will be featured on various sized promotional material, so it should be legible, and visible in any size. The winning submission will be a name and logo that promotes the grocery store and band, T’kemlups said, the name and logo must compliant each other and be easy for everyone to read, pronounce and understand.

Colour may be used but submissions should look good in black and white.

Contest submissions are open to anyone, but preference will be given to members of the band, according to the developer of the grocery store.
