Interior Health hosting Kamloops job fair to hire hospital support service workers

Hiring fair for hospital staff

Interior Health is hosting a hiring fair, looking to fill support service worker positions at Royal Inland Hospital before the new patient care tower opens in July.

The hiring fair is scheduled for Thursday, June 2 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sandman Signature hotel in Downtown Kamloops.

According to a statement from Interior Health, the new Phil and Jennie Gaglardi Tower has created “a large demand” for support workers to join RIH’s team.

“We are looking to fill multiple housekeeping lines with cleaners, as well as increase our food services staff in the roles of food service worker, cooks and food service supervisors for qualified individuals,” the health authority said.

The health authority said there will be recruitment team members and managers at Thursday’s hiring fair to discuss current opportunities, provide an overview of the positions available and to conduct in-person speed interviews.
