Police locate woman feared missing near North Thompson River

Police say Louise Grainger has been found and is safe.

There is a police presence along Schubert Drive in North Kamloops on Monday as Mounties search for a woman believed to be missing in the area.

According to police, personal belongings and identification belonging to Louise Grainger were found along the North Thompson River recently near Schubert Drive and Cypress Avenue.

“Police are actively looking to locate Louise including air, ground and water searches,” RCMP Cpl. Dana Napier said in a news release.

Grainger is described as a 43-year-old white woman with brown hair and brown eyes. She weighs 149 pounds and stands five-foot-five.
