A Kamloops man has been charged with sexual assault of a female youth and RCMP want anyone with information on the suspect to come forward.
On Sept. 6, the BC Prosecution Service approved one count each of sexual assault, invitation to sexual touching and uttering threats against Guy Purcell, 38.
Kamloops RCMP are appealing to the public for more information following the alleged sexual assault.
“Police are releasing a photo of Purcell in order to further the investigation and identify anyone who may have additional information in relation to this alleged sexual assault, or any other interactions that they may have had with him,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.
Guy is described as a Caucasian with brown hair and blue eyes, six-feet, one inches tall, weighs approximately 165 lbs, with an athletic build.
“We want to encourage parents to share Purcell’s photo with their kids as we know that children are not necessarily monitoring mainstream media, and the investigation to date leads police to believe Purcell may have had unreported dealings with other youth,” added Evelyn.
