Robbery suspect sought

UPDATE: 2:15 p.m.

Kelowna RCMP are on the hunt for a man accused of robbing CIBC this morning.

Today at 9:46 a.m., Kelowna RCMP received a report of a robbery that had just occurred at the CIBC bank on KLO Road.

“The suspect fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash,” says Kelowna RCMP Const. Jesse O’Donaghey.

“There is indication that a dye pack was used and had deployed. The dye pack could have dyed the money and possibly the suspect red.”

RCMP did set up an area of containment and conducted a search with a police service dog, but no one was located.

  • 20 to 30 years of age
  • 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6
  • Slim build
  • Wearing a black sweater, black toque, black sunglasses, black gloves and jeans
