MLA Norm Letnick hosting 2nd town hall on COVID-19 Friday

Letnick to host 2nd town hall

Kelowna-Lake Country MLA Norm Letnick will host the second in a series of virtual town halls concerning the COVID-19 pandemic Friday evening.

The Friday town hall will focus on health care issues, featuring representatives from Interior Health.

“Like many of my fellow MLAs, I have been thinking about how we can support our communities during this ongoing health crisis. Last week I directed this question to my constituents," said Letnick.

"I received a lot of helpful input from many of you and a frequent response was that there is a lot of conflicting data and panic circulating so it would be helpful for our local MLAs and Interior Health authorities to host webinars with actual facts and useful information."

Letnick says he has invited Interior Health CEO and president Susan Brown and Dr. Sue Pollock, chief medical health officer at IHA.

“All citizens are invited to join in, ask questions of our panelists, and get answers that we hope will help you and your families through these troubled times.

“Anyone wishing to participate can register online. Participants can ask questions live during the town hall or in advance by email to [email protected].

A non-interactive version of the webinar also be streamed live on Castanet.

The webinar is scheduled to run from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
