The BC Coroners Service has confirmed they are investigating a death near the Mission Creek Greenway, south of K.L.O. Road.
"We are very early in our investigation to determine the cause and manner, and have no further details or information available at this time," the BC Coroners Service said in an email.
A resident in the area said she saw emergency crews remove a body from the area, at about 10:15 a.m.
It's unclear what caused the death at this time. Kelowna RCMP have yet to respond to Castanet's request for information on the incident.

The Mission Creek Greenway was closed off south of K.L.O. Road Saturday morning as a number of police and fire crews canvassed the area.
While police have yet to respond to Castanet's inquiry about the incident, a resident in the area said she saw emergency crews remove a body from the area, about 200 metres south of K.L.O. Road. She said the BC Coroners Service was on scene as well.
Another resident said emergency vehicles were driving up and down the greenway path for several hours, beginning at 7 a.m. By 11 a.m., the emergency crews had left the area, and the Greenway path had reopened.
