The Aldo Group has confirmed its Kelowna store at the Orchard Park Shopping Centre will soon close permanently.
The closure comes as part of a company-wide restructure, after the footwear retailer filed for bankruptcy protection in May due to financial stress brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the time, the company announced plans to close approximately half of its stores, with a goal to remain operational.
On Aug.10, it was announced Aldo's Call it Spring shop in Kamloops wouldn't survive the company restructure. Now, Kelowna has been added to that list.
"Our ALDO store located at the Orchard Park Shopping Centre in Kelowna will be closing, as part of our restructuring," they confirmed in a statement provided to Castanet.
It is unclear how much longer the Kelowna store will remain open to the public.
"However, at this time, we can't confirm the timing of the closure. In the meantime, the store remains open for liquidation."
