Kelowna woman who found a stuffed bunny in downtown, seeks owner

Lost bunny seeking owner

A Kelowna woman who has taken it upon herself to give back to the community is now searching for the rightful owner of a lost stuffed bunny.

Rose Olson tells Castanet she started feeding the homeless residents of downtown Kelowna in early January, "I go around from Leon Ave. to Corontation Ave. with my trolley and I approach those who are homeless."

During her travels, Olson says she came across a stuffed bunny sitting on a park bench, "as I was running around I noticed it on a bench in the snow. It was in very good shape."

Olson believes the bunny is missing its owner and likely vice versa, so she is hoping that sharing her story and contact information will help bring a little joy back into the owner's life.

Olson says if you or someone you know lost their stuffed animal in downtown Kelowna and you can describe the bunny and the location where you think you may have lost it, she wants to hear from you.

"They can call me at 250-864-7764, everyone downtown has my number so that's fine."

Olson says she was inspired to help the less fortunate and is doing what she can to, "be a light and present the fruit of kindness to these people and they appreciate that."

Olson tells Castanet that she has been serving meals for the less fortunate since January 4, "I know about 80 or 90 by name now. God just put it on my heart to get out there and do that."
