Witness reports heavy police presence Friday on Sutherland Avenue

There was heavy police presence on Sutherland Avenue at about 7 p.m. Friday.

Two vehicles were surrounded by at least 10 RCMP cruisers, some unmarked, a witness told Castanet.

Sutherland Avenue is closed to traffic from Ethel Street to Richter Street.

The witness reports guns were drawn on a truck that appeared to have been rammed by police, leaving a window shattered.
