RCMP are investigating a suspicious fire that happened overnight at a bank in Lake Country.
The Lake Country Fire Department responded to an alarm at around 4 a.m. on Tuesday morning at the Toronto Dominion Bank at 9890 Main Street.
Lake Country Deputy Fire Chief Brent Penner tells Castanet flames were visible when crews arrived on the scene and there was a great deal of smoke.
"We managed to get the fire under control quickly. It's obviously suspicious and it started in the area where the bank machine is located."
The photo shows the wall beside the automatic teller covered with black smoke and handprints.
Penner says a restoration crew is at the bank Tuesday morning trying to eliminate the smell of smoke that was left behind by the fire.
