One of Kelowna’s oldest companies has made a change for the good of the planet.
Sun-Rype Products announced Tuesday that it is launching recyclable, bendable paper straws for its 200-millilitre, single-serve beverage boxes in Canada. They can be found on both the 100% juice and 60% less sugar juice boxes.
“We are on track to meet our sustainable development objectives by 2025,” said Claire Bara, who is president of Sun-Rype parent company A. Lassonde. “We plan on incorporating recyclable packaging for all of our products, and the launch of paper straws on our single-serve juice products is another step in the right direction.
“We know that our customers place a lot of importance on finding products that meet today’s environmental challenges, and these SunRype juice containers with new bendable paper straws are now available at Canadian grocery retailers—just in time for back to school lunch boxes.”
Sun-Rype believes people who are looking to make the sustainable choice cannot go wrong with its 200-millilitre, multi-layered Tetra Pak product containers, because all the packaging is recyclable.
