Crash slows Highway 33 north of Beaverdell

UPDATE 1:20 p.m.

The highway has been reopened to single-lane-alternating traffic, says DriveBC.

It is estimated that the highway will be fully reopened by 4 p.m.

ORIGINAL 12 p.m.

Highway 33 is closed north of Beaverdell due to a crash.

DriveBC reports the collision occurred between Carmi Station and Rupert Mainline, seven kilometres north of Beaverdell.

The road is closed with no detour. There is no estimated time of reopening.

Initial reports are that more than two vehicles are involved in the incident.
