Annual Be an Angel campaign raises $417K for Central Okanagan Food Bank

The Central Okanagan Food Bank received generous donations through their annual Be an Angel Campaign.

The Thomas Alan Budd Foundation was a major contributor to the campaign by donating $30,000, bringing the total amount raised this year to $417,583.

Throughout the month of December COFB shared client stories via Castanet, allowing for the opportunity to share why individuals use the food bank.

“These stories encourage connection on a very human level, while also challenging the assumptions that some people have made about food bank users” said COFB’s director of development, Trina Speiser.

"The Central Okanagan Food Bank would like to thank everyone that contributed to the 27th Be an Angel campaign."

The funds raised will ensure that the rising number of people struggling with food insecurity can have access to the nutritious food they require to thrive.
