Kelowna's Ramada hotel on market for $32 million after years of expansion talk

Ramada hotel up for sale

If you’ve always wanted to own a hotel on Kelowna’s main drag, you now have a golden opportunity.

The Ramada by Wyndham Kelowna Hotel and Conference Centre has been put on the market for a shade under $32 million. Its last known owner was RPB Hotels and Resorts, which also has Penticton Lakeside Resort in its portfolio.

Royal LePage’s Tony Sprovieri is the listing agent, and his sales pitch indicates “this hotel and conference centre presents an exceptional investment opportunity both for the hotelier as well as the developer.” The listing notes the hotel is located on a “trophy” piece of real estate, which is on Highway 97 at Dilworth Road.

RPB Hotels and Resorts in December 2019 announced plans to build a 12-storey, mass-timber tower that would contain 83 new rooms to go along with the 135 it already has.

Those plans in February 2022 were changed to a six-storey structure that would have had 160 additional rooms and a one-storey parkade.
