Drop-off recycling station opens at Glenmore landfill

Contactless recycling here

Recycling just got more convenient in Kelowna.

Residents can now drop off recyclables at the new Return-It Express and GO recycling station at the Glenmore landfill at 2720 John Hindle Drive.

“We’re excited to launch our 13th Express & GO station in B.C. and support the Kelowna community through providing a convenient and easy to use recycling solution,” says Cindy Coutts, president and CEO of Return-It.

“We hope this new station influences the way the community recycles, effectively increasing the recovery rate for beverage containers and diverting materials away from our natural environment. I’m looking forward to the positive impact this new station will have.”

This Express & GO station allows people to drop off their unsorted, pre-bagged beverage containers and receive their deposit refunds via Interac e-Transfer or cheque.

“Return-It’s innovative solutions expand our province's recycling infrastructure,” said Kelowna-Lake Country MLA Norm Letnick.

“This new Express & GO station will provide Kelowna residents with a more convenient way to recycle and divert materials from landfill.”

Powered by solar energy, the station is a 20-foot repurposed shipping container.

The Express & GO station has a built-in printer allowing customers to print their bag labels to tag their bags.
