Simon Fraser was a Scott, the name goes back centuries (proudly) and it is an insult to all Scottish Clans to even consider any comparison to garbage like the ku klux klan. I am a Scott and damn proud of my heritage, I am also equally proud to be a Canadian, by choice, and I am disgusted that the Simon Fraser University took the stance they did
Where does this politically correct BS come to an end.
We are talking about educated adults here, university students and staff not US rednecks.
They say they are extremely proud of their teams etc. but this misunderstanding (as they put it) carries more weight than the insult to Scotts around the world.
By this choice they now dishonour the friendship, loyalty and connection they say they are so proud of.
I am glad I am on the way out, and not just starting, because reason is no longer part of our lifestyle and I would hate to see the world in another 20 years.
