Help those that need it

I have just read that Keremeos has received taxpayer funding for affordable housing. I have no doubt that some of the residents of that community are struggling in ways that they require assistance. This assistance includes household incomes up to $113,000 annually.

Except for extraordinary health care costs eating into the family budget, I can not understand why assistance should be afforded to such high wage earners.Then again I read an article about two professionals, each earning over $150,000 a year, they said they were struggling. I have never had an income near six figures and I have never struggled, life style choices I guess.
