Wanted to express my compliments to the Kelowna RCMP who on Jan 25 at the proposed new Costco site off Baron Rd displayed a tremendous amount of patience and concern regarding removing squatters from that property. I witnessed several visits by them supposedly requesting the people leave.
Seeming to at each visit to give a time they must be gone and seeming to explain why they should leave Unfortunately this started at about 12 p.m. and lasted until the current time of 5 p.m. At this time one RCMP vehicle is on scene and one plain car. I see no sign of the squatters although I have just heard some shouting from the area where they are. Both observing cars have now left at 5 p.m.
This incident is similar to Saturday night where I heard similar shouting and saw two RCMP vehicles on our property which is Bristol Gardens on Durnin Rd. I was disturbed for most of Saturday night with the noise. I do have sympathy for those less fortunate than I however I do not have sympathy for those disturbing the peace of others.
Again I do congratulate the members of the RCMP who deal with these difficult situations.
