He's not our friend

"Sunny ways my friends, sunny ways" - Justin Trudeau, October 19, 2015.

Thus, we Canadians embarked on our odyssey of domestic violence with Justin Trudeau. For over five years we have constantly been berated, belittled, and browbeaten for being intolerant, bigoted, misogynistic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, homophobic, transphobic, and many other "ist's" and "phobes" that I'm sure he'll call us should anyone question him or voice a differing opinion. Afterall, everything is our fault. It boggles the mind why nearly 400,000 people per year want to come to this country teeming with a despicable and vile people.

We entrusted the public purse to an entitled, trust-fund man-child who believes "budgets balance themselves". This part-time drama teacher has amassed a national debt unprecedented in our nation's 154 year history, which includes ten years of World Wars. And after all this spending, Canada is dead last in the G-7 in job creation and vaccine procurement.

A Justin Trudeau government formed on the basis of gender, skin colour, and ideology rather than competence has likely increased the personal wealth of the Trudeau family, his friends, and Liberal Party donors. Meanwhile, much like his father before him, he has sold us, our children, and our children's children into decades of tax slavery. We would be better governed by a Magic 8-Ball or a broken clock. At least the latter is correct twice a day.

He didn't tell us "sunny ways" was meant for him, not us. I don't think our self-esteem or our wallets can handle any more of his "sunny ways" - and he is not our friend.

Robert Brown, Cranbrook
