The information reported from very educated people involved in the medical profession is that the majority of people being treated for COVID-19 are those that are unvaccinated.
We are also told that our medical system is overloaded due to these patients, causing the deferral or cancellation of surgeries which are very important to those who have been waiting, in some cases several months. We are also frequently reminded of the high cost of our health care system which we, who pay taxes, are obligated to support.
Perhaps it is time to institute a significant deductible system which would apply to those who choose to remain unvaccinated without an acceptable reason.
A financial obligation to their oft times unfounded opinion just might give them something else to consider and encourage this segment of society to get vaccinated.
As the old adage says, “put your money where your mouth is.”
