The B.C. government: A wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Political power has been defined by some political scientists as the ability to control the behavior of people and/or influence the outcome of events.
Absolute power on the other hand survives through dominance and threat of punishment.
By coercing BC Public Employees to be vaccinated on the threat of losing their job, John Horgan’s government is beginning to resemble something that no longer feels “social” or “democratic”.
Not unlike Donald Trump’s loyal fan base, (giving him a pass for everything he did), members of the Horgan/Henry fan club appear to be doing a similar thing. It looks like our government is becoming slightly “extreme” and right leaning i.e. do as I say, or else.
If the lessons of history teach us anything, it’s that few people appear to learn the lessons that history teaches us. Oppression doesn’t happen overnight. It has a way of creeping up, chopping away one block at a time.
You can bet your bottom dollar, it won’t stop there. Watch for when it comes to a theatre near you.
