Open letter to Penticton city council

Well city council, are you happy that the crime rate has soared and you voted down extra RCMP officers and bylaw officers?

There are several unsolved murders going back to the one on Lakeshore Drive at a motel six years ago. Our cars and homes are being broken into. Business owners and staff are unsafe in their workplaces.

Great job council, just brilliant work on our behalf.

Are you happy that people cannot walk downtown without being afraid or down Lakeshore Drive in the evenings without fear? Please do not worry about the drunken fools having fires on the beach, polluting the air and the lake. No worries there folks, you can now enjoy smoke all year long here in Penticton.

Thank-you council members for your concern about a green earth. Painting some more city streets green should do it.

But yes, you do have a Lake to Lake bike lane (even if ) it is unused, dangerous and an eyesore.

You have no idea of the cost of snow removal as16 kilometres is a foolish number and you all must know that.

And let's not forget you are going to have your own skating rink right out back of City Hall. How nice. What a great place to be robbed after 4 p.m. on a winter night. And who is going to pay for the upkeep on that project?

You have reached a level of incompetence and it shows.

If the taxpayers could find a way to have you all recalled, it would be a solution. We cannot wait for the next (municipal) election.
