The people screaming and demanding that the RCMP be replaced by a city police force because of perceived dysfunction have to stop and think about where the new police officers will come from.
As we are seeing in Surrey, some of their new city cops are former RCMP officers.
Cops on the ground are only as good as the dysfunctional bosses in charge and a failing court system.
Most cops on the ground are doing their best, but get discouraged. We have to acknowledge that.
