Definitely.
I was planning on heading to the coast to visit my parents and sister’s family, whom I haven’t seen in a while, in Nanaimo. With highway stability, freaky weather and fuel shortages, I have opted to defer the trip to January or later.
I looked into flying but all flights are ridiculously (expensive) at that time of year.
It seems (to me) the airlines could possibly increase number of flights in the province and make it affordable. But supply and demand have pushed prices into the $600 to 900 range.
