Kelowna critic

Many years ago, the late Allan Fotheringham, a then well-known writer, spent the weekend in Kelowna.

He wrote about his visit on the back page of MacLeans magazine. He wrote "Kelowna is a small town trying to act like a big city and doing a poor job of it."

He naturally was criticized by the locals after only being here for two days.

Of course we now know he was exactly correct back then, and would still be correct today.
