Afghan program a 'failure'

Re: Afghan immigration routes nearly full, thousands to be left behind: MPs, NGOs (Castanet, June 23)

So the Canadian government has committed to (bring in) 40,000 Afghan immigrants, including 18,000 who helped us in Afghanistan. To date about 7,000 have arrived. It’s another abject failure of the current Liberal government.

Talk is cheap, actions speak louder than words. Canadians need to wake up and realize the current government is all talk. It has no one in mind but itself—not Canadians, not Afghans, nobody.

(It is) smoke and mirrors tolook good on the global stage. But if this is good, how does bad look?
