Hold the grandstanding

The recent revelations from Hockey Canada are disturbing, to say the least, and need to be thoroughly investigated with proper discipline and consequences meted out.

However, it is more than a little disingenuous, sanctimonious, and hypocritical for the Liberal government to preach to Hockey Canada while military officers abuse their subordinates for decades and end up getting promoted rather than court martialed as they should. With hundreds of outstanding assault cases on the books and still unresolved, our military needs a clean-up starting from the very top of the house, including the Minister of Defence and the Prime Minister.

Mr. Trudeau, hold the grandstanding, please, until you clean up your own messes.
