It may be surprising to some but the City of Penticton still has a vaccination mandate in place for employees and new hires.
It appears the city is still supporting segregation and discrimination, something not even raised or debated during the recent municipal election.
It's not surprising though that some services, such as public skating and swim lessons are not occurring because (the city) is extremely short of staff. If it lifted its mandate, I'm sure there would be some highly talented and skilled people wanting to work for the city. Ironically, on the city's job posting website it espouses inclusivity and for all applicants to apply—just not those applicants who chose medical privacy and bodily autonomy.
