To increase the housing rental stock, the (federal) government has decided to drop the GST on rental builds (an encourage) provincial governments to drop the PST.
Apparently one developer has taken this incentive and says it will build thousands of units.
Will those savings be passed on to the renters or is this just another way the rich are getting richer at the expense of Canadians?
